In what way? I am almost surprised that one of his own linemen didn't tackle him. But I guess if you want to make that argument, it could be viewed as "unsportsmanish" for the Pats to have laid down and let him score...

Madonna took a knee a lot more than that over the last 30 years to perform at halftime.

Taking a knee is a tactic to run the clock and is considered part of the game. What he did yesterday was to deliberately stop short of the endzone while the play was active and as yet undetermined. To me, that's showboating, worse than say jumping in or diving into the endzone where you at least keep your momentum going toward the conclusion of a TD. It just struck me as class-less. But hey, apparently, it's just me. (Stepping down from the soap box)

Rumors still floating around that there will be a contract extension (maybe 2 years), combined with an early out program for pilots that might include some medical benefits......discuss.

That's not what happened. He was told NOT to score. They didn't want to score a touchdown with time on the clock so as to not give the ball back to Brady.

They wanted to run the clock down to a few seconds and kick the easy FG for the win and be done with it. The guy tried to stop short, but his momentum carried him in.

Medical benefits have been the #1 sticking point with the Captains I've flown with. If the company wanted pilot early outs that would be the best way to do it.

I thought it was funny during the pre-game when they showed Eli at about 10 years old playing basketball with Peyton and Peyton wearing a Georgia sweatshirt.

Right...even though it was the game-winning touchdown, it will go down in NFL history as the blooper of the game. I was surprised he got to the goal line so quickly & uninhibited.

Ahh, guess I'm exposed for having the volume down and being distracted. Thanks Newk.
