Another Reserve Question
 
Tell me....How a guy on reserve can already be assigned a trip today that doesn't report until 1030 on the 15th?

Ok. We have surpluses on the 747, 777, and 767, I get that. But, didn't they just post 6 vacancy's on the 765 on the last AE?

What gives? :confused:

A lot of times it's a management trip, or a union trip.

Yes and vacancies on the A330 two AEs ago, why I moved with a 75% qualifier. I'm not real sure how to play this to make sure I stay off reserve.....do I VD to DTW? Do I just see what happens?

It's driving me crazy, and yes it's a short drive.......

Good question. I just noticed one on ATL7ERB covered today for a 1725 report on the 15th. No notes or anything to indicate it's anything other than a regular reserve assignment, but that can't be right. I expect it will change, but if it doesn't I'll be calling to ask the question.

I never understood why we have so many AE's. You would think the company would want to save money on training events like they do with everything else going on around us! I propose some stability in everyone's life and those that are unfortunate to be displaced only bid on open vacancy's. That way we have some control in our lives, this is very stressful.
