So they did just the opposite of what they did to you which Id say what happened to you is more normal.

But like so much else with scheduling its all just arbitrary. I request pm short call and get 0500. I call, I'm nice, they amend it to pm and apologize for not looking. I am happy they accommodate but the problem is they're not being given the automation tools. They're hand flying at 390 with baggage carts moving around.

I figured it wasn't as bad as monkeys and footballs but I did get the feeling there was some zaniness going on in those cubicles. I did visit the 88 OE planner once. It looked like he needed a vacation.

Spot on,

Cabotage is one of the few remaining shelters from alliance takeover of legacy flying...
Here's my wish list going forward:
  • Drastic reduction of domestic code
  • Production balance for all non-Delta flying
  • Annual remedies for non-compliance in PWA
  • All Codeshare, JV and DCI capacity growth tied to mainline capacity growth.

Cheers
George

Seconded, and saved for the next contract survey.

Nothing like a quiet, slow late afternoon taxi to the runway ending with loud car commercials waking any customer up who was napping.

I absolutely hate them... and so do our customers. Every time I'm commuting on DAL or any other airline, and talk with a passenger, they complain about the non-stop Delta marketing bombardment of commercials for Lincoln, credit cards, sky miles, etc. etc. etc. while they're trying to sleep. I think it's annoying and insulting, and makes us seem like a snake-oil used car salesman. Totally tacky. And the fact you can't turn off the TV entertainment monitor during the commercials, FORCED to watch it and listen at heinously high volume, would really **** me off if I paid $5000 for a ticket...

They may be a bit tacky but commercials are everywhere in this world now and this companies are looking for new ways to reach their customers. It's been harder the last decade with the advent of DVR's. On an airplane they know they have a captive audience and might spend a pretty penny to reach them.

I applaud Delta for finding creative ways to find new revenue. Who knows, this new found revenue may pay for our next contractual improvements.

I like their uniforms!

Somehow I don't think those would look quite as good on our International (grand-) Mommas.

Do you know if they need Pilots? Gives a whole new meaning to, "I'd do this job for FREE!" :D

Mention "DPA" in this thread = kick in the jimmy; however, college football, remodeling, ductless heating and cooling systems, and pretty much everything else is acceptable.

Are you guys bucking for ALPA Rep/Company Managment positions?

The DPA vs. ALPA talk has it's own thread, and is a painful argument of pointless name-calling and accusations and one or two guys being held responsible for allllll the actions of a huge group... it takes over the thread, and makes this place suck. I don't like college football either, but ***, at least I can scroll past those posts without having my hair blasted back by the vitriol flowing past my screen.
Trust me, it's impossible to click through this thread when DPA/DALPA gets going, no matter how fast you try, without your brain perceiving all the quotes, requotes, you said, "may I remind you of my question???", "you failed to answer the question", "here's what you said in 27 prior posts that I've cut and pasted to prove you're not a computer when replying" blah blah blah OMG my brain hurts...

It's a unique thread, and hey, maybe someone will throw in a post or two about hunting or fishing or beer or home repair amongst the football posts. In fact, I was more interested in hearing about ductless heating and cooling than anything else in the last 20 pages (except that girl in blue and Aeromexico!). Here's a good test: does the post make your eyes bleed to read? YES=move to DPA thread. NO= leave it and wait for underboob.
;)

It is Friday...and we all know what that means!

Jesse, where are you??

iCrew and Android

Many of you might already know this, but I just installed the current version of Dolphin HD browser and iCrew works just fine.

I was having all kinds of problems and recently reinstalled. It turns out, for some reason, I was using an old version.

Looks like Delta's IT department updated iCrew Dec 1st, it can now be used with Safari on the iPad and iPhone, no Journey or whatever required. Maybe that helped you out too.
