That's old news (greater than 24 hours). Heard a rumor today that if Gus didn't take the job, our O-line coach (Grimes) was next in line. Seems Gus was OCD and PO'd a bunch of his offensive coaches. ESPN PTI was wondering why Gus even looked at the job.

Yeah I thought it had to be political. He took less money to go to a mid major conference. I know all those guys have egos.. but dayam. The coaching shuffle is pretty interesting this year. Fat Charlie to Kansas... *** are they thinking there? I hate to see him go though. He would have ensured a few years of mediocrity in gainesburg...

It's just a hunch (well, it's more than that), but I'm thinking management will not bargain fairly or honestly unless we exhibit the
1) ability; and
2) willingness
to stick up for ourselves.

Do you think we'll get what we're worth by relying on the company's benevolent paternalism? Do you rely on them to tell you what you're worth? Have you ever voted "no?" If not...why not? Do you think Delta pilots have always negotiated the best possible deal?

Do you think we will get it by giving them an ultimatum and heading out to a picket line?

Charlie is a weird one. He leaves the Pat's and they don't seemingly miss him. Gets to ND and they're awful, but they're awful anyways. He goes to MCI and that team is on fire, leaves and it collapses. Gets to UF and sucks. Or is that him or is it Muschamp? I bet so, maybe he saw the writing on the wall. T, I think you'll have some fun years at UF's expense. I think Meyer left them in a hole that Muschamp isn't good enough to get them out of.

There's that word again-suck. Fine, posting the picture...

Looks like a water hose to me, no golf ball. Maybe it's not possible. Except of course for Private Cowboy who Gunnery Sargent Hartman said could do it.

Meyer didn't leave them in any hole. They are loaded with 4 and 5 star talent. I don't Muschump is very good, but Charlie is clueless. The players Meyer had were spread players, and Charlie tried to run a pro style. But what do I know.. anybody can be a Monday morning QB. I certainly hope that Dooley kicks 'em pretty hard though.. THAT would be really fun for a change.

I hear ya. I was just thinking it was convenient to leave Florida when they had a bad year last year, it just got worse this year. Usually your offensive line is the one that struggles between spread and pro, one requires speed over size and the other goes the opposite. See Auburn 2008 when we made the switch. It wasn't pretty.

I'm all about the Tim Tebow read option now.

Yeah if this was Scrabble I'd challenged the snot out of that one. Even if it is a real word, I doubt they'd have a dictionary brainy enough to actually have it in there.

Delta allowed me to interview at their wholly-owned regional, Comair. That's where the extra thirty grand went.

Did DELTA guarantee you a job or an interview?

Not right away, first I had to flight instruct for 2 years at about $150 a week. That was to "pay my dues".

If you failed the interview if so why?

I must have failed the interview because I was hired at Comair.

and what have you done to better yourself?

I have flown Delta passengers throughout the US and Canada safely for the last 9 years.

Did you think if you paid someone money for training you were entitled to a job?

I held up my end of the bargain and excelled at every job asked of me.

You did not wright very much other than a complaint, so it leaves you open to a lot of questions. I am willing to listen and perhaps you can prove to me that DELTA owes you something. I am reasonable.

For starters, Delta can start keeping their promises to the ALPA pilots at Comair.

Scambo's right, it was meant as a joke. But like ACL said, being owned by Delta means everything..
