You, sir, are enabling management to save 2.99 each month on internet porn. Reading your posts provides a suitable substitute with equivalent results.

It's just a hunch (well, it's more than that), but I'm thinking management will not bargain fairly or honestly unless we exhibit the
1) ability; and
2) willingness
to stick up for ourselves.

Do you think we'll get what we're worth by relying on the company's benevolent paternalism? Do you rely on them to tell you what you're worth? Have you ever voted "no?" If not...why not? Do you think Delta pilots have always negotiated the best possible deal?

You interpolate a reasonable approach to flat out appeasement of management. The scorched earth policy is dangerous. Any division of this pilot group will lead to management scorching us. DPA is good in principle but thats it. To divide and move forward before contract openers is suicide. Things perfect? Not even close but a damn the torpedos approach like DPA wants yesterday, I feel strongly is more harm than good!

Let's get to the point where Management wants something and go from there. RA is a smart guy. It is a negotiation, give and take. Of course we have given up way too much. SO start the bar that much higher. DPA will not do any better than ALPA. Different union, same management.

So, actually occupy the rest seat and give it a rest.

If you'd actually read my posts you'd know that I'm definitely not a management enabler and I expect quite a significant improvement on our contract in 2012. I'm ready to strike, are you?

Have I voted "no"? I almost always vote "no" because it means I'm usually right. I like being right...and I like being paid for the work and commitment I contribute to the company. Which is significant and for which I am very proud. Doesn't mean I think that 9/11 was an inside job or that we are the 99% getting screwed by the 1%.

What I object to is the nature of your posts. Negative, angry and generally counter-productive. Step up and be part of the solution. Your bumming us all out.....and you're generally uninformed.

So you paid for flight training and DELTA did not give you a job and you were screwed? Did DELTA guarantee you a job or an interview? If you failed the interview if so why? and what have you done to better yourself? Did you think if you paid someone money for training you were entitled to a job?

You did not wright very much other than a complaint, so it leaves you open to a lot of questions. I am willing to listen and perhaps you can prove to me that DELTA owes you something. I am reasonable.

That's old news (greater than 24 hours). Heard a rumor today that if Gus didn't take the job, our O-line coach (Grimes) was next in line. Seems Gus was OCD and PO'd a bunch of his offensive coaches. ESPN PTI was wondering why Gus even looked at the job.

Jinks

Gus took a near half million dollar pay cut to go to Ark St. He wanted out bad and going home to Arkansas provided the only option after UNC evidently didn't even really look at him. Turns out between questions of whether Cam was the reason for 2010 and his wife's unfortunate viral video appearance late in the season his stock had fallen hard.

The reason he wanted out is like his fellow coordinator on the defensive side, they forgot they're not the head coach. For Gus it evidently happened midway in the Clemson game and that was it. For Auburn fans, it raised some eyebrows when the teacher (Gus) got schooled by his pupil (Clemson's OC).

Chiz is a man with a plan, his original plan got him hired for the Auburn job and a NC in 2 years. We'll see what the next plan is. I'm fine with it.

Oh, wait, Delta thread right? No color, just black and white Delta. Okay... Rolling Stones had a song that they kept playing in Denzel Washington's movie Fallen... time is on my side. It really freaked you out because everyone kept getting possessed and singing it.

If they want C2012 by December and a merger by January, then time which is never on our side may actually be our friend.

My guess is what Gus is saying, and Gus is played here by Boomer, is that he went to Comair Academy later known as Delta Connection Academy and felt it was overpriced for the quality of training he got.

That's my guess and if that's correct, it has nothing to do with Delta Air Lines. But with that in mind, Delta needs to be careful what they put their name too. Trump is a prime example, he makes every effort to only allow his name to be to high end expensive upscale stuff. It's his brand, he doesn't want to cheapen it.
