Hockey, I suggest you give it a rest. I have flown with guys who were furloughed twice and they p*ss and wine less than you have. You are going to have hard time convincing guys who were walking the picket line (strike of 98) while you were in high school that you got a bad deal.

Your last part that I bolded is wrong.

There are many that do care and they were just as irked as you are. Many of them did something and got involved. Some things they could change, other things they realized that their interpretation of things was off, and others they realized they were in the minority on, but continued to work to change things.

I agree that I am not paid enough, that I want DAL to want to do its own flying, that we need to force the issue in section 1 of our PWA, etc, what I disagree with is that airing that on a web board is where it needs to stop. (Same goes for sending in a card) If you really want change and want what you demand, get involved in DALPA, or volunteer your time to get them off property.

I'm not going to volunteer. I don't have the time, and I like to fly. I have no desire to do anything else. I do however e-mail my reps every once in awhile. I vote when asked to vote. I completed the contract survey. I've also sent my card into DPA, but I'm not sure it's valid. I sent it in over 18 months ago. I will not send another card in until I see how our contract negotiations are going. Is this web board not a place to talk about our company? I feel like you guys only want to talk about the good. I'd prefer to air my negativity on here and not in the cockpit or even in person. I'm happier that way and more pleasant to be around.

That is part of the problem with our group. Guys whine on here, and then are all happy happy joy joy on the job. Most guys I fly with do not have a clue, but would like the Cliff Notes version of what is going on. I am happy to give it to them, and when they want an opinion or voice an opinion on something I like to hear it. Most have no idea this stuff is going on. They want guys like you to keep your head about you and talk about these issues. They do not care about your problems, and you need to speak about the issues that effect them, not you. If you do not, you lose your audience very quickly.

But Mongo only pawn, in game of life.

Never trust a program that tells you what it is saving you.

I had a good one last week. Attila told us to speed up by 18 mins.

hockey,

When you are slated to retire in the single digits as a B-777, B-747, or Space Shuttle Captain, you have to qualify your negativity. :)

You'll still be waiting on the ramp for a ground crew to park you, for 10 minutes, with an engine running...

I'm just glad we get paid by the minute. :D

Why in the hell should we "meet with them" in the first place! It's OUR scope, our contract, not thiers!!!

My personal best was getting an RTA as we were taxiing to the gate in ATL...
