My strike fund, is fully funded. Frankly, I can't wait to give ALPA my strike authorization vote.
That is why Sailing's getting both barrels (before my first cup of coffee). If I am going to effectively hand ALPA my resignation letter (ie my entire Delta career) to be used as leverage the expectations that go with that level of responsibility are correspondingly high.

I will also say we won't see a new contract for 5 years, or 100 seaters, ever. I am also hoping to be wrong on both counts. As long as UAL/CAL, LCC and AMR still fly under their bankruptcy wages we're screwed.
Did you guys tell management I think hats are stupid? I've been line checked 3 times in 4 days....

Let's look at the international destinations gone from JFK in the last 3 years. MAN, EZE, CPT, AMM, CAI, KBP, BUD ARN, SNN, TXL, POS, LYS, Bucharest, any more?
But then I remember what happened with Compass.
Application of a bright-line rule for strikes and other forms of economic force under the
RLA has substantial benefits in terms of enhanced certainty and reduced transaction costs.
Certain that strikes will always be barred in the absence of exhaustion, the parties are freed from
the temptation to litigate over minor disputes, and encouraged to fully utilize the dispute
resolution procedures of the Act in a timely and efficient manner. Likewise, the surety that
carriers and unions will be free to use virtually any means of self-help in the post-exhaustion
world is the best means of encouraging settlement at the end of the major dispute process.RLA has substantial benefits in terms of enhanced certainty and reduced transaction costs.

And explain again about being "too big to strike?"
There is no money in cargo. I mean who can afford to operate a cargo plane, much less a brand spanking new one in ATL no less?

I want to see the Cargolux and BA 748Fs on the ground in ATL at the same time. Then I want a picture next to "there is no money in cargo."
Although I will say there is probably a lot of money in counter-to-counter cargo which we can do very well. Of course I have a buddy here at DAL, an FO on the mighty 88, he left ATL to go skiing in either SLC or DEN but his personal ski's never showed up. 3 or 4 weeks later they arrived back in ATL. They'd been to China. What a waste.
