Hockey,
You are being generous at 5%. The company can say - We agree with the Delta Pilots and concede to your opener. We will improve everything you mentioned proportional to a cost increase of .5%. We will magnanimously agree to improve every aspect of your contract to a cost level of + .5%, you DAL Pilots win.
In other words - without numbers/percentages this is not really an opener. We are basically saying "We want more."

I like a lot of it in general - but it really does not mean much.
Scoop
10,500 maybe?
Why don't we go ahead and define what "significant" means when one says a "Significantly increase hourly rates of pay"?
And we all agree on it and that is therein what has been promised to us by ALPA.
65%?

It's about what I expected for a "conceptual in nature" opener. I actually think it looks good as a concept, and could be awesome if the specific numbers are what the survey told them to go with. Everything in there that we have been compaining about is in there.
A couple of things that are not conceptual in nature that stood out to me were:
1. Having retired pilots between 60 and 65 pay the same as active pilots for health care....that would awesome and would create some movement.
2. Allowing a reserve to pick up extra on call days.
3. Moving benefits for a pilot who is awarded an AE to move to a pilot base.

It's there as far as the min day goes. Change duty period average to a daily average which would take care of the low paying 3 days.....at least the ones with more than 24 hours off in the middle. If we had that now we would get 5:15 per day so any 3 day would be worth 15:45 minimum.
It's not that long, read the thing.
