Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?

Correct. They need a FMC update if they are going to continue to fly the birds in the Next Gen airspace.

Just a thought here.
If we get flow agreements to take all Delta pilots from DCI, that drives up their costs significantly. Gordon Bethune hated the flow from CALEX to CAL for that reason. So we drive the costs up by taking the pilots, they have to hire more pilots to deal with the new FT rules, they can't find them due to the new 1500 hour rule. All this stuff drives up the costs at DCI. Eventually someone with a half brain will see it is stupid to outsource stuff to a place that costs more to do the work. I think that the 70-76 seat outsourcing will eventually get where the 50 seat stuff is now and we won't have to "give" anything to get it back.
Lots of stuff going to happen to DCI in the next 3-5 years that will make it ALOT more expensive to run that operation.

For an airline, and I know some hate me saying this but I've seen it happen in Coex's flow and am sticking to it, a flow sticks you with people you may not want or have turned down in the past. And I'm not talking about people who may have screwed up a cog test, but people whose personalities are unwanted.

That CVG March 22nd newsletter said an MD-88 or MD-90 will get the ISS panel, dual GPS and dual FMS by the end of the 2012 and that the initiative had been added to CapEx and awaits funding.
Did they cancel funding since Thursday?

Good points, ftb. Would you then (as a Delta pilot) oppose a staple, for the same reasons?

I think if I were at DCI I'd fight any flow. You could apply and get hired on merit right now but with a flow you are at the mercy of a slow system that breeds squatters. I'd rather go to mainline as soon as I could rather than wait for people (who could've applied years ago) to flow.

Flows are still on probation.

You may have been referring to this post though:
That was Carl mentioning the obvious. We don't need no stinkin' FMS's in the 88. Which is true. If they want to install them, that's fine. But that doesn't mean she cares what it says.
because the 88 don't care.
watch out! says the 767.

The 88 thinks it has FMS, but yep, it goes where it wants to....
