You're right satchip. Even Scope is negotiable, and I am not an unreasonable man. Here are my terms:
1. One time payout of $25 million per pilot on the seniority list
2. Positive space passes for pilots and their families
3. Family medical benefits at no cost to the pilot

With this I'll negotiate away Scope.

Branson, in a Delta uniform?

When did we hire this yahoo?

Bar,

Does this mean that I'll get that chick too if I wear my Delta uniform?

Carl

Carl,

It is certainly worth a try. Better yet, score a date with his daughter, what a HOTTIE ! And she's been to Med. school too. Wouldn't that be great? If you could pull off being the baby daddy of Branson's Grand Baby, you'll not only be elected MEC Chairman, even Smiling Bob would have to have a brass statue of you in his office.

Carl, I'm pulling for ya' man!

If that IS their position, then it doesn't matter which of those descriptions, if any, is correct, as we're screwed no matter what.

From some stories and reports, LM is said to have stated to the effect that the cost discount at CPZ is good for us, and that RJs are good for the airline. IF TRUE, those are not the words of a "Scope Hawk", but someone who is willing to trade bucks for any number of Buck Rogers.

OK, fine. I think they definitely could do a better job articulating their position. That would remove the conditional part of the statement.

To scope fairy has not been kind to either the DAL or NW pilots, over the last few contracts. Said fairy has failed consistently to sprinkle any "Scope Hawk" dust on us. The testicle fairy was also absent...

I do not argue that. I would love to see a 100 seat jet too. IMHO if they announce an order for the C-Series I think you will see the 9-50's stay until they can be replaced. I would love the e-195, and that deal could happen for a limited number of them.
I am sure we will see some public decisions in the next six to 12 months. I think the economy needs to start moving for the 100 seat question to get answered.
I like the fact that the union has gone on record stating that they have a business plan that works for the 100 seat jet. I want to see it, but at least they have done an E and A one it.
I also do not care if the company sees the RJ as sell limiting. The past has shown us that we need to have it limited in the PWA. The lower the better.

Chk the pay scale on the E-195 and tell me why this is a good deal.

Interesting to see Lagos is a B777, wow. It'd be nice if they walked over to the salt of the earth Nigerians and said we'll give you a 777 if we can also have exclusive IAH-Lagos in a 777. :D

Where can I get my Scope Hawk sticker? And a golden statue of Carl? And a reminder of why I have a golden statue of Carl?

The rate is low (CA $121.70)(FO $83.12), but it's still higher than $0. We should get the planes and flying first, then worry about the rate.

Reddog-

The current 195 12 year Capt rate is only $4 hour less than our pre-merger post BK rate that 63% of us voted for :( Now it's too low for us?

JB just got $143 an hour for the 190. Should be achievable in 2012.

Further irony is this close to the pre-merger 320 rate....

Looking only at the rate is a little myopic. A little furlough helps bring this issue into focus. Even if you're not vulnerable, you don't want DC-9 jobs to go to DCI, right? So forget rates: look at the jobs. A Delta pilot flying a E-190 is either hired for the job, or not fired because while the job was given away. Either way, it's good.

Rates can be moved up, but scope is very hard to regain once lost. I don't have any problem whatsoever with having one contract with low E-190 rates. By the time the aircraft is on the property in any meaningful numbers, we'll be negotiating a new rate.

There is room in the fleet for many different aircraft sizes. At the intersection between our small narrow-bodies, and the large RJ's, will be new, and probably disputed, territory once the retirement of the small DC-9 leaves it open. Something eventually will fill the gap. I'd rather it be us.

I appreciate the confidence - but in school, I was the guy that couldn't get lucky in a female prison with a fist full of pardons.
