Agreed.

Show me the money. That's how corporations "value" their employees.

Can substitute appreciate for value.

My reply was highly critical of Delta management, because I take outsourcing personally. Delta has trying to outsource my career. I'm like a man in the midst of bring fired. Management and ALPA are just negotiating the terms. The fact there are a few thousand with me makes no difference as to my personal career outome. (so you can imagine how cheery the responce on their survey is).

I am not sure. I was offered and put into the UPS pool same day I was hired at MA Delta. Granted UPS has relationship issues and a very good pay, but this business is too cyclical. FedEx will have its cycle too, SouthWest is.... etc. I will have to seriously look at the options if and when UPS ever calls, for one thing I owe it to my family not to start all over again for first year pay. Second year looks great on paper, but that is just pay and QOL is always a gamble. So for now I will just forget about the Jones' and just get the best QOL and live very happily with in my means. That is freedom and QOL. IMHO.

Just sayin.........:D

How mature of you, or maybe, better said how karmaic.:D

Its like all the advice of "would you choose X over Y." You do not have a decision until the offer comes. I have been faced with the same sort of decisions and I am still here. Does that make me a loser?

In the end, it is up to the individual. If you live within your means and you are happy in your own skin, any path chosen will probably be okay. If you don't live within your means and you can't be happy with your path in life, no employer will make you happy.

Money is great. Excess money gives peace of mind. Happiness comes from within. Your fortune cookie moment of zen.

About that survey, remember when you fill it out, the answers will be going directly to the Company's Negotiating Team, and they can throw that right back in the face of our team;

"See? According to OUR survey, YOUR PILOTS only want a 5% raise...and oh, they love the hat, and none of them want to fly RJ's..."

So be sure you answer with that in mind.

Oh, and I've been told "Money Can't Buy Happiness".

OK, but it can buy you a yacht big enough to pull up right along side it!

Give me the money, then I'll decide if I'm happy about it!

JBLU stock down today on rumors Lufthansa is exiting it's stake in the company. Interesting.

What is the definition of appropriately? Didnt pilots agree to the outsourcing? When Southwest pilots were paid well less than others or years, most of them didn't feel under appreciated. It's strictly business-no need to feel loved or unloved based on pay. Heck, many at ups don't feel appreciated even at 150k 2nd year pay.
