DeltaNet is working for me, but I use the Atomic Web Browser on my iPhone & iPad. Maybe try a different browser?

Ok.... No one else wants to comment on the news out today that DAL wants to increase their investment in GOL from 3% up to 20%???

Lots of articles on yahoo major airline news about it...

Let's do the math:

GOL 3% stake = $200,000,000 from DAL coffers

roughly 1% = $66,666,666 million for each 1% investment

Increasing the DAL stake by 17%....

DAL puts out an additional $1,133,333,333. Yes, OVER ONE BILLION DOLLARS!!!!!

That says the company is seeing VERY strong revenues and will be able to pay up for the restoration of the pilot contract!

Shiz;

Don't you want to work for a profitable company?

How come you want to take money away from the company's bottom line?

The company cannot possibly afford a high cost pilot contract, it would affect our access to capital and stunt our stock price.

I think we do better by getting profit sharing.

11% raises are generous in the extreme.

I put a post up a few weeks ago too about GOL. Nobody seemed to care. GOL is going to serve Miami to South AMerica with their 737s. This concerns me because we were told we would be their US feed, while they take care of intra SA.

I need to look it up in the PWA, but isn't our threshold for ownership 25%?

I also saw it, but just got back from running my momma duties.

That is a lot of money, and it makes me wonder why DAL wants to protect this feed so much? I mean. this would basically allow them to move them to a different alliance if they wanted to, or control their schedules.

That is a lot of money to invest for any ole reason.

There is no money in running Airlines, just outsourcing and getting BIG HEFTY bonuses/commission.

Yep, and coordinating their skeds out of a possible MIA hub would be very beneficial to DAL if they opted to re-hub MIA.

It also allows them control of their alliance choices, and defeating any other attempts of them. I suspect we will have a significant say on their board.
