For those that are interpreting T.O.'s latest letter as a scope relief, please, take all the energy you are wasting here blabbering and write your Rep. All this assumption is ridiculous. Quit wasting your energy here, and voice it to someone who can pass it on to our Negotiating Committee.

Johnson,
Good post. Most of us have. If anyone hasn't follow his advice.
My Reps tell me people cut and paste from my posts, if that explains why the effort is made.

And please don't think I'm discounting the importance of discussion, but right now we are runnning in circles. There are a lot of smart people on this forum, but we don't have anything solid right now. Lets keep hammering our Reps, instead of each other.

Can someone explain this conversion thing to me... If I'm not converted to my new airplane(lower paying category) until next month, why is my paycheck I just got lower already? I'm changing base too, can they really give me the new pay rate and no per diem because I was in training in my old base? Or will I see my pay rate adjusted on my 15th paycheck? Or a ton of per diem? I expected to have the same ol pay check since i haven't changed categories yet even though I finished training.

Funny that guys jump all over rumors and ignore facts. Scope and Pay have not even been discussed yet. The negotiating team has been sequestered and the only person they have talked with is the MEC to give updates. The last updates stated that they have not even closed 1 section and have not discussed the major items.
First off, if the Negotiating Team has been sequesterd, how do YOU know they haven't yet discussed Scope and Pay?
Second, we need to be calling our Reps NOW, because when the Negotiating Team brings it to them for a Vote, they need to shoot it down at that level. Once the MEC ratifies a T/A, then sends it on to us, it's too late. There are far too many sheeple who will vote Yes to what ever the MEC has ratified, and the excuse they always use is, "Well, they know more than I do, (because I was too lazy to stay informed and involved, or even show up, to a LEC meeting, or...etc.) and who am I to contradict them?
I have been hearing these same lame excuses ever since we got membership ratification in POS 1996.
We need to encourage everyone we fly with to call their LEC Reps. NOW, and tell them there is NO WAY we will allow MORE, and/or bigger, RJ's on the property, unless they are flown by Delta Pilots, on one list, on one contract.
Once the MEC ratifies it, it's over.
I'm calling my rep today, how about you? My first question is going to be, "WTFARK was O'Mally talking about? Spell it out for me, because he's being very vague."

First read--1 conclusion:
Bend over boys and girls, here it comes!
If the company wants more 76 seaters, we can fly them right here at mainline!

Scoop, you are correct.
Section1 is about not just small jets but all of our flying. As it stands now we have a ton of holes.
Remember the republic holdings mess anyone? A hole.
ALK? A hole.
Virgin Australlia soon to be jv does not need a production balances. A hole.
JV with JAL that is revenue sharing and will not need a production balance? A hole.
DAL could add 100717"s get the 76 seat jete, then park the 88's or717's and not reducing the 76 seaters? A hole.

Then you could've said, we've got a lot of a holes around here.
