You guys are both examples of guys "who don't get it" at the major. 1067, you need pilots below you. Carl needs to ensure flying is done at Delta. Carl somehow reads a slam on ALPA as a slam on him. Mesabah is stating exactly why you, Carl, want DPA. We are both worried DALPA will sell scope.

Tell us we don't get if a TA gets ratified that sells out more scope to DCI. In the mean time I think 90% of us at Delta really really "get it" If such TA gets ratified, which it wont, than I will concede that the majority at DAL don't get it.

No you don't get it, Scope is not a contract item; You can't strike over it. I doubt you would show up to work tomorrow if DCI started receiving 777s/747s/767s, etc. Why do you show up if there are CRJs being flown by DCI? I admit I'm guilty of contributing to the slide by working at Pinnacle, but I never took any of your flying that wasn't given. If mainline pilots truly wanted CRJs back on the mainline, management would put them back there, no contract negotiations necessary. However, I've got bad news for you, they don't.

Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt.

Scope isn't a contract item? Who doesn't get it? Remember the MAIR letter at Mesabah that XJ almost went on strike over. Guess what genius, that's SCOPE!

I'm truly amazed at the statement you just made.

Scope is section 1 of any pilot contract.

Uh, Carl is one of the most vocal guys about reigning in scope.
