777 seats have more room than 747's due to the fuselage shape. Right behind and outboard of CA there's a bin that F/A's can sit on. 747 is too pinched for that.

777 center j/s seems to have fractionally less legroom vs the 767 but the seat itself is better(vertical adjustment, etc).

Fourth 777 j/s is for truants. They're stuck off in the corner by themselves.

777 is also quieter than early model 747's that I j/s'd on.

Is it basically impossible to get through the door without internal rec?

MSP based with lots of B737 time but no internal contacts, the result is a roaring silence from Delta.

Congrats to those on here that managed it. Keep the door ajar..

Former employee, legacy, 3 internal LORs, 5 retired LORs and like you crickets. There are thousands of people in the stack. They will get to us when they get to us. Until then we wait patiently and better ourselves for our opportunity.

There's only been a couple hundred truly "off the street" new hires so far, and many of those have been caught in the bottleneck from previous periods of stagnation or are very well connected. Hiring has just barely started. I wouldn't call not getting called yet "roaring silence". Patience.

got the invite to interview a couple days ago.
No connections.
8000TT
500 TPIC
2 type ratings
Masters with a 3.8gpa

I dont know anyone there. If you dont have connections is not
the end. I thought it would take at least 5 years for the invite.
Probably after everyone under the sun had gotten an invite and there was
no one else, then they might have invited me in.....
Nobody knows what airlines are looking for or what criteria/software
they use to screen candidates. Just keep updating your app.
And remember, an interview is not a job. Its just that, an interview.
Who knows if I will make it or what they are looking for....

Solid resume. Even better attitude.

Good luck!

You have a great resume and I'm glad Delta is smart enough to offer someone with your credentials an interview. I truly believe it was the masters degree with a fantastic GPA of 3.8 that really caught their attention.

Good luck! The prep work for tech and cog testing is tough but will pay off in the end. Add in Emerald Coast so you can knock the HR out of the park, and the interview will be a non event. I studied for that interview for 2 months, not sure how much time you've got but start now and hit it hard. Youre gonna do great!

I will also recommend DeeDee from Cage. Either one will work depending on your location/timeframe. I heard that DeeDee has had fantastic results with her clients going to Delta interviews. BL, get interview prep from someone.

Good luck, we're all counting on you.
