What about us guys who had a lot of jobs in high school and early on in college. I feel like I've got quite a few jobs that lasted one year or less. Is that something that I could talk my way through during an interview, or is going to be a red flag for the screeners looking at my application?

hourly jobs? Shouldn't be an issue. I listed the few that I had in college and it never was mentioned.

I had about 3 jobs in college and also worked a job in HS. Listed all and never was asked a word about them during the interview. If asked, I think they will understand that many have to work through school to make ends meet, especially if you are also paying for flying lessons at the time like I was.

So the 6 month lockout is a guaranteed re-interview? That's the first I've heard of that. I thought that was a minimum time coupled with a "don't call us we'll call you" ball in their court, not yours. Is it really an automatic re-interview on your terms?

They made it seem like an "Auto reinterview". Arnie said (and the letter says) to basically keep the app updated. You have a phone number to call, and when you call them they review your app again to make sure you haven't done anything disqualifying in the last 6 months.

Interesting. I still wonder the percentage of re-interviews at exactly the 6 month point. If that's the way it is then great, that's just the first I've heard of it working like that.

Two I know that didn't get through day 1 were contacted by DAL at the 5-6 month point. They DIDN'T contact DAL.

1 of those 2 I know didn't even touch their app as they started at another airline shortly after their DAL interview, and was STILL contacted.

They have hired one off the street with only an associates degree as well; So anything can happen. I think everyone will get their shot, just have to wait as the hiring wave just started, but I know seniority is everything.

A non degree OTS? Really?

Were there any other "extenuating" circumstances?

I thought a bachelors was required?

What's the opinion on enlisted military (right out of high school) and then civilian 135/121 time, TPIC, check airmen? BS degree completed in 5 years on campus then online from a popular aviation university in Florida (2.8gpa).
