It's based on the number of posts you have. It has nothing to do with any actual airline position

Also got the invite today, literally as I was updating AirlineApps. Another guy in the squadron got it as well.

Yup. The first NYC MD88 went to a guy who lives in CT so he's happier than a Delta employee on profit sharing day.

Hi all. Does anyone know how often Delta reviews apps? I think my app is close to being scored. A friend with similar quals refined his app and he got an interview invite a few days later and I have done the same but I haven't heard anything. My concern is I changed the employment info of a reference a few days ago and made a small typo. I just found the error and fixed it. It was on the app from Tuesday until today. I'm worried my app may have been scored while that typo was there and thrown out. It was a small spelling error I missed when checking the app over. Has anyone received an interview invite and then found a small typo on their app that was overlooked??

Hey everybody, I haven't posted much here, but I've long used these forums as a source of first hand information and rumors. I appreciate all you have done for us!

With that being said, I got my invite this morning! I know I still have a lot to prepare for, but I've been walking on clouds all day.

Here is my info.

2550 hours
2450 ME, the rest was Cessnas & Pipers
USAF, T-37, T-44, C-130
1400 PIC
700 Instructor
IP, EP, Director of Operations, Advanced Instrument School
Zero failed Checkrides
3.02 in College on History Degree
3.92 on Masters from Air University
2 internals, one from a new hire still on probation, one from an FO hired in the last two years.
I listed five tickets on the App, but 4 were in High School and one was in 2006.

To help answer some of these questions in your minds about the selection process, I applied a couple years ago, but didn't get internal recs into the system until Nov 2014. One of them sent the email and got a confirmation from the hiring folks that my App would be reviewed and scored but there was a backlog. He got that email on 16 Jan and I was called on 20 March. Interviewing 15 April.

I have updated my App sporadically for a couple years and then weekly since the internals went in. I have no "connections" at the company except for the described internals.

Bottom line, stick with the app updates, get your internals to send the email. The info on here about filling out your app must be helpful, because I followed most of it. The calls are going out!

Good luck everybody, now I gotta focus on interview prep.

4fans,

Congratulations! It's a treat seeing the excitement of an interview invite. Those of us who've gotten that call or email know it's a special feeling and one that's filled with optimism!

I must've read over my app 200 times. It was pristine. I got the invite and the CJO. A month later, I printed out my app to reference something and I noticed that one of my job's duties section cut off in mid-sentence. I'd call that a major lack of attention. But I got the offer, and made it through the interview where three people were looking at my app. I don't think you need to worry about your issue as you describe it.
