At least 12,400 have been hired already, and those are just the ones that are still there and not retired.
Seriously, I assume you mean since the 2014 hiring spree started. A little more than 1000 between last November and the end of last year. With another 1000/year until.....who knows.

While the number will probably go up, I disagree that it's not a big deal. It's about time the lost decade got lost!
