Soo..it seems the airlines can not ask your current military employer for information on you? When the paperwork was handed out they told us Military were exempt from forms 11, 11a and 12 I believe? Is this due to the Privacy Act or Feres doctrine? How do they verify our information in this case? I know thousands of military guys are hired by the airlines...I'm just wondering if the "background" check will delay the PARB results. Or is it simply a criminal history check? Also, based on the aforementioned...how do they verify what you have on your app if it is mostly military? A lot of questions out of a newbie....but I am sitting in limbo waiting on the board...Thanks in advance guys. Fly safe!

They require you bring your mil flight records, FEF/NATOPS/759, and all your OPRs/FITREPs/OERs to the interview. If you've failed an eval or popped positive for a drug test, pretty likely that'll be reflected in the stack of papers you hand over. Their HR folks are smart on that stuff.
Thank you for the great answer. I provided all of that stuff at the interview. I'm clean on all provided paperwork. I guess that covers my question...I think. So the background check is a formality for the mil folks it seems. Just need a reason to stress.

Thanks for all the reply's...it peaked my curiosity as to how they screen Mil applicants...I suppose the lengthy paper trail that follows us allows for the screening right up front....now to continue speculating why many of the single seat military guys are getting flagged...we are special...."ed" that is.

"I could tell you but...I'd have to kill you!"
