Would you believe it's spelled "piqued" in that context? Had no idea 'til the other day. Guess that' why I are pilot good.

They all seemed pretty sharp to me, but you don't see what goes on behind the door. Sad sight to see them take the walk of shame at the end of the day. I heard one was for the panel interview, and no idea on the other three.

Interview prep may have been lacking with some of the non-hires. In my opinion, it's a huge gamble to go in without it.
Two of them used prep but unfortunately still failed the panel. They get to come back in 6 months.

Normally true, but what if his curiosity was steadily rising and he is describing the "zenith" point or "peak" of his curiosity.

Regarding the questions 'which interview prep is best' or 'which interview prep should I use':
I've heard similar things regarding the common three (Aero, Emerald and Cage).

Those that used service X and were hired said it was the best money they ever spent and highly recommend that service to all future interviewees. The folks that used the same service but were unsuccessful said that they didn't get 'enough' out of it, or that it was not worth the money/effort.

It may be worth doing more than one service to get a couple of reviews of your interview posture/skill/app/resume. If you feel great after one, roll with it. If you aren't sure you're ready, do a second/third service or re-do the one you did first. It's all about going into the interview being comfortable with yourself, and confidence that you are prepared.
Some folks feel confident going in without any prep. You have to decide.

Or...it could be that the guys that were unsuccessful were going to be unsuccessful no matter which prep they used. Too many cooks spoil the soup. I'd be wary of possibly getting conflicting guidance that may end up hurting your chances. I (and most of my friends) used Cage successfully. All 3 seem very professional and capable. Find someone you're comfortable with, stick with them and give it your best shot. Just my $.02. YMMV

53% civilian, 47% military

Flight hours ranging from 2300 to 25000 with an average of 8500.

So what I hear you saying is that our youngest new hire is still older than you.

What I thought was interesting was the military breakdown from that DALPA memo.

76% USAF
15% USN
8% USMC
1% USCG
