Nice work on the new hire...2 above in headwork...I am interested to know how often the boards meet? Is there a certain amount people in the bank before they meet? or just on a preplanned date? I'm a hold up too...first day of interviews after the new year...wonderful.

And conversely, two people I know were told that they were "consistently too happy" on their MMPI and got the retake, and to "not be so happy" on the retake.

Sitting here, idling in the office. It's Delta's right to hire by whatever criteria they want. If he said to a long-term pilot, "you'll never be a pilot", ok, absurd as the evidence is contrary. But, if Delta wants to take their shrink's position (recognizing there is a review system) as someone does not fit Delta's profile seems eminently reasonable.

Full disclosure- I didn't get hired at DL in'79 and always blamed the shrink, too. But, it's their trainset, they can run it however they want.

I hear ya, it's their way. But a lot of the questions on the test are way too ambiguous

Started day with 9 mil and 6 regional:

1 Regional non-hire
3 mil non-hire (F-15, T-6 and Navy S-3)

They all seemed pretty sharp to me, but you don't see what goes on behind the door. Sad sight to see them take the walk of shame at the end of the day. I heard one was for the panel interview, and no idea on the other three.

Interview prep may have been lacking with some of the non-hires. In my opinion, it's a huge gamble to go in without it.

I sat down with a good buddy of mine today and went over his app... I asked him the questions I was asked in the interview on the fly. His answers sucked. Do yourself a favor and do the interview prep. This interview is the rest of your life so act like it and invest in yourself!!!
