I've read contradictory info here so not sure what is really the process. I guess that your app may get points for having an LOR on file from a delta pilot but it's content may not matter until interview. Again I am just guessing here.

I always review all my internal recs resumes and delta application before sending email to hiring team. Wait time from sending to invite has been across the spectrum from 1-day to over 2-3 months. Most recent in Jan took less than a week. Good luck to all.
I have heard the same thing. A LOR attached to your application isn't even looked at until your interview.

Aren't they doing 125 right now? So does that mean an increase of 10 more a month?

Jan was 146, Feb 143 (I think).

The main diff is that the previous hiring authorizations were through April, this would extend it two months.

Military & 121 MD-11 FO
1 Internal Capt and 3 Internal FO Recommendations
1900 Total Time (w/out sortie conversion factor)
1450 Turbine PIC (w/out sortie conversion factor)
AETC IP (FAIP)
MWS Aircraft Commander
6 Type Ratings (Two civilian types in the last year, not that it probably means much?)
SUPT Distinguished Graduate
Bachelors in Aerospace Engineering with Cum Laude Honors
3.43 GPA
Heavy college involvement with Honors Societies, Community Service, Flying Team, and the Water Ski Team.

I know my Total Time is low and I'm prepared to camp out in the MD-11 for awhile, but I'm hoping my education and turbine PIC make up for the lack of Total Time?

I'm happy where I'm at right now and have a job that requires no commute and come's with a lot of time off for me to spend at home with my 2.5 year old son while my wife is back in school, but at the same time seniority is everything and who wouldn't love to get the call from Delta. I just want to make sure when I press submit and my internal recs send their recommendation I'm putting my best foot forward.

Cheers!
Nice Credentials!!! If you really want Delta, Delta wants YOU!!! You should be in Tier 1!

Who do you fly MD11s for now?

Default Thank you!!

A huge thank you to each and every one of you that have posted in this forum. I've literally read through all the posts twice. I look at it throughout the day more than I care to admit. . Because of the wisdom gained here, I received an invite today!! I'm happy to post my credentials if it will help. Not to bring any attention to myself, but to hopefully help you get an invite as well.

I'm in a similar boat as you but with about 5700tt, 2500 jet PIC, 3600pic, 4300 multi, BS in Aviation Management 3.67 GPA (it did take me 6 years because nobody helped me and I had to work to support my wife and I through college). Honestly I thought I would have a shot, but I'm getting the feeling that if your not military or 121 your not getting looked at. I even have 3 internal recs and have not heard anything.
