I also heard that they recently changed the questions on the test, but I have also heard many say try to stick to the concepts.

Has anyone found a good gouge with the new information on it?

I've taken the new FedEx and Delta tests in the past 30 days. I also had most, if not all of the gouge out there. On each test, I only had 4-5 questions out of 60 that I recognized from any gouge. That said, the concepts did change and a lot of questions were similar topics just worded differently. There were a lot of new questions too on things like LDAs, LAHSO, some Jepp chart interpretations, etc. I read Aero for Naval Aviators and Everything Explained for the Pro Pilot as well as some AOPA circulars and parts of the Flying Handbook (FAA). The gouge can help with focusing you on topics, but ACS is right, memorizing the current questions that are out there isn't smart. I felt good on both tests, and apparently passed since I got both jobs.

Congrats! Thanks for the recent info. I am a fan of the FAA Flying Handbook and am using that along with the the other books you listed plus "Ace the Pilot Technical Interview." It would seem any gouge or questions are really just best for self-testing to gauge how well you understand the concepts.

Good luck in your upcoming decision (if you have not already made it!)

Would it be a bad thing to submit an App to Delta, once hired by a regional and just keep updating it every so often?

You mean, before even meeting the minimum qualifications?

Nope, I've been told to apply and update your app weekly.

I heard you should update your app after every leg, that's what smart phones and tablets are for!

(full disclosure, I must have sent about 10 apps in the 4 years Delta was not hiring, 1981-85, all 6 pages, typed on an IBM Selectrick, no spell checker, and when I finally got an interview, the app the guy was looking at was 3 years old!)
