Anybody else find the use of 777/350 rates as a selling point a little disingenuous? It would be much more useful had they used the 330 since THAT is the airplane the vast majority of pilots will max out on. I couldn't care less what the 777 rates are. (And yes, I would be able to hold it when I am 64)

I do find it interesting who is pushing to "just let the pilots vote on it."
They are part of the same group who basically opposed memrat at every turn, at least when they were the clear majority on the MEC. Of course they were also the same people who spoke over and over and over again about the evilness of a roll call vote, at least till they were in the minority and then they used it without hesitation.
Nothing like consistency....

Just a point of clarification...while MCO-GRU does not technically cross an ocean, in the cartographic sense, per our PWA it does.
PWA Section 2.A.182 - "Ocean Crossing" means a flight segment that:
.....There are some concerns with the TA. This isn't one of them.

GZSG,
Missed you buddy.
I think that is your opinion. And as your opinion is valid.
The reality is that at least in pay this TA does a few things:
Those are just facts. You may not like them. Just putting them out there for you and others.

The reality is that at least in pay this TA does a few things:
- DOS puts us at or above AA rates.
- Amendable date puts all rates above C2K rates. Well above AA.
- Pays out more to pilots regardless of where company profits land. There is still no cap in profit sharing.
- if ratified, the TA will have raised our rates 81.8% since 2008
Those are just facts. You may not like them. Just putting them out there for you and others.
If you are happy hitting 11 year old rates with no inflation, vote yes.
We magically used block hours to get management in balance and lose hundreds of Widebody jobs. For this we got a nickel in per diem.
We screwed all the first officers by taking away their ability to bid all available trips. For this we got 15 minutes of vacation.
This TA has no defense. There was no negotiation, just complete surrender.
