Honestly I don't know. Unforeseen consequences and all that.
It will not change the top 25% of biddable LCA trips. But sure, it will change how about 180 people bid each month system wide.

I won't argue the amount of jobs it costs. I'm sure it's close BUT (hey, it's a big but!), it can possibly effect 75% of the FO's in EVERY category! That, of course is based on the amount of training going on in each category but it is possible.
It is a HUGE QOL give back.

After having heard the bulk of the rationale behind the bullet points, I have to say I could probably support this thing without this provision.
A lot of the other stuff is getting blown way out of proportion. The pay is underwhelming, but I refuse to use terms like "insulting" or "slap in the face." It is just business.

It is a give. Such is the nature of opening up contract negotiations.
The costing is coming in at around 117 jobs that are potentially effected.
That is when we are hiring and at a full OE op-tempo.
IF we ever stop hiring, the company now has to carry 117 more. So a swing of 234 jobs.
Hope this answers your question.

i dont mean how they bid, i mean schedules in general...with those trips being withheld the quality of lines for everyone has to go down, and now people that were line holders aren't anymore....or am i missing something?

The lost jobs are bad enough. The bigger problem is that I'll have than many fewer trips to choose from every month, and I won't even know which ones will be unavailable when I do my bid. Rotation quality has tanked enough in the past year to remove even more.choices from the bid package. Their lack of foresight in staffing isn't my $!÷×£ING problem. Let them deal with it. Major concession. This affects ALL F/O's, not just the senior ones. Scheisse rolls downhill boys.
The full implementation of this language is something I am guessing that crew resources can't predict either.
But as I said, it is something to consider when considering the TA as a whole.

I didn't have a question. Just stating a fact. No vote from me.
