I feel the same way as PD. This deal is absolute garbage. It is sh!t. It feels cost neutral to concessionary. I was expecting historic. This is not historic. I was expecting a larger initial raise than contract 2012. Moving profit sharing is not a raise. This is not it. This deal is **** and ALPA is ****. We needed to get rid of ALPA 11 years ago. Now we need to vote this deal down, then get rid of ALPA. We never learn.

That's the problem. Their calculations of the number of pilots affected is WRONG! That's where the disconnect comes from. How many LCA's are there system wide? The 180 number tells me the answer to my question is 240 (I'd be curious to know if I'm correct or what the real number actually is). Sooooo they are only giving credit to the first level of affected guys. That a fail for me.
All that being said, thank you for being there and passing along information!

Please ask away. I am here to help as much as I can.
As I have stated before, if I do not know the answer I will ask.

Denny, Tune,
The impact will be the 180, as I mentioned...direct impact. But also there is an expected 1-2% change in the number of line holders in each category affected.
Clearly this is going to see a bigger impact in the new hire aircraft categories as well.
Does that answer the question?

Direct impact of only 180? No way, no how.
It will impact every single FO below the individuals who are unable to hold the schedule they want to bid for (and below the 25%'ers).
Just like a widebody Captain being displaced, it cascades down the list.
To say there will only be a "direct impact" on 180 is entering spin territory. It is not said to "help" the group. It is nonsense.

What do you want your dues money used for then? Answering questions and getting information out to help people make a decision seems good to me. I don't see him selling anything unless you think anything other than just calling it crap is selling it.

Vocal minority strikes again - The only people who post online in general say negative things. Anyone happy with the status quo never feels the need to comment.

Hey Professor, there is a question I want asked of the MEC and its stated in the posts previous to mine: Why are negative comments or possibly any comments being removed from the MEC Facebook page? Isn't that what Facebook is for?
Full disclosure: I've never been on Facebook.
I mean, you asked!
