Details on Delta TA

MD: "This tentative agreement, this opportunity is about seeing what is on the horizon and doing something about it. Here and now. Period. Record pay rates is what our pilots wanted- pay and more pay."
Huh? How did you get that message? Pay and more pay? That is NOT my priority. And by the way, if there are bad times ahead "on the horizon", all of your mighty pay and more pay will go down the tubes with the times.
I think it was pretty clear that we wanted record profit sharing and record pay. Not less of one to pay for the other.

So what's the point of being in a union if every single time you approve the first TA? Delta pilots have NEVER rejected a tentative agreement. Maybe you guys should save your dues dollars and just take what management wants to give you anyways...

Hey Professor, there is a question I want asked of the MEC and its stated in the posts previous to mine: Why are negative comments or possibly any comments being removed from the MEC Facebook page? Isn't that what Facebook is for?
Full disclosure: I've never been on Facebook.
I mean, you asked!

I asked, it is closed session sort of stuff by-in-large. I will see if there is anything that can be discussed publicly.

It's an avalanche of DALPA talking points. Good grief. The MEC's unelected bureaucrats removed yesterday's negative comments from its FB page. How's that for "open debate?" All that remains is the sales pitch from guys who are collecting FPL to post there.
Our money being used to obfuscate and misrepresent this TA. When the cost of this sales job is tallied, we better see the FPL from these guys included in the figure. Of course, we'll never see that figure.
The professor refuses to admit the widespread negative effects of LCA trip pulls. Has he said anything negative at all about this TA? Nope. That's not "information." That is spin.
Granted, he is more respectful now that he's being paid by us, than he was when he was posting on his own dime. Which is the "real" professor?

From the other day:
Now he's taking our dues money to sell a TA that hasn't even been approved. . Fantastic.

I think the LCA FO bidding item affects a lot more than 180 pilots, and has financial implications as well. Think about it. These are 180 senior FO jobs.
In addition to monthly hits on QOL that will wash down the bid list including the block/reserve issue previously mentioned, removing these jobs will slow EVERY advancement the lower part of the seniority list makes until they pass the point on the seniority list where these pilots are "re-injected". Consider the cost of every delayed upgrade along the way. This cost is proportionally more the lower you are on the list since you'll be delayed in more upgrades.
To illustrate: if there have been 15 guys ahead of you disappearing from the list each month and 180 jobs are lost with the LCA bidding part of the proposed TA, it could delay some upgrades for up to a year (15*12=180). Look at the difference in pay between WB FO and NB FO, or WB FO and NB CA. Losing that amount for a year will certainly cut into that 8% raise, without even considering that your QOL will likely be reduced due to the reduction in relative seniority you'll have every month.. (note-- the upgrade delay does become less as more guys retire and the list moves faster, but it's there nonetheless and represents a real financial hit to pilots below the guys who normally bid with LCAs)

I'm sorry, but what we've seen from the P2P guys for is not "information."
