Dear Capstain Donutbelly,

It ain't about the pay. No one is really complaining about the pay.

It's about the CONCESSIONS!!

You moronic derpstick!
I'm a no voter. However this level of juvenile **** is why most people consider these message boards for exactly what they are--a bunch of middle-school morons telling themselves what they want to hear, and who no more represent the typical DAL pilot than "The Real Housewives of ______" represent typical middle class families.

Want guys like me to take you seriously? Then engage in serious discourse and not this tomfoolery.

That would mean he served during the one time in history when a strike was never on the table. What exactly did he do? I guess he has people skills. He deals with people.
Kingsley was doing a very good job as MEC chairman. Where he went wrong was his push to change the MEC administration from top-down to a true bottom-up. He was actually beginning initiatives to do that when the holdovers from Moak/O'Malley saw this threat and acted. They sabotaged every effort from Kingsley even though they worked for him. At the peak of their sabotage, they made a case to the MEC that the administration was so dysfunctional, Roberts needed to be recalled...even though they were purposely causing the dysfunction.

It was a truly shameful time. The Moak/O'Malley holdovers who did this to someone they worked for were disloyal and dishonorable. That's who's running the MEC admin show now. Given this, there should be very little surprise that this TA has been dumped in our lap.

As much as he has touted process and procedure, why has he shortened my evaluation period prior to a vote? Simple question and still waiting for a simple answer.

Approach this like you would on the line. Take your time and gather the facts, evaluate the situation, solicit input from team members, decide and execute the go around and proceed to the alternate. I am beginning the hate the analogies but he started it.

I can't mail my opinion to 12500 pilots but he can. There is no sell job here at all! Give me the member list and let me distribute my evaluation to the entire group then we would have an even handed debate.

Ignore the man behind the curtain!

Herk, I'm on your side. What's more, I've never claimed (nor ever will) to represent anyone other than myself.

If Donutbelly wants serious discourse, then he has no business trying to tell me or anyone else he isn't trying to sell this TA while he tries to sell this TA. If he is going to try and play folks like a clown, I am going to feel free to respond to him like one.

Besides all that, you and others do a very good job of bringing plenty of maturity to the board. CG demands some balance to that.

Fair enough. I think it sufficient enough to cut and paste some of the better lists of cons to this TA than get juvenile.

After all this TA "unsells" itself.

That's true. It does "unsell" itself.

Speaking of fairness, I don't always act juvenile around here, which is what I feel you are implying. And I am hardly the only one who can act that way.

Fwiw, a far better approach...to me...would be to say something like...

"SayAlt, you are clearly a savvy and well-spoken guy. I think you would be far more effective sticking to the facts than engaging in what I see as juvenile responses. I, for one, would take you far more seriously if you did, and I want to do that. We NEED your voice here, just not the antics."

This is what I feel you are genuinely trying to say. But instead you attempted shaming. I don't respond well to shaming. At all. Especially when I don't feel I have anything to be ashamed of.
