Default DALPA Admin Secret Polling

Anyone been called for their vote?

Heard the admin is using a firm other than Wilson polling to survey the pilots.

We all need to ask our leaders if this is happening. In writing.

This is actually a good question. I still maintain that the survey itself is worthless as a tool because it is unscientific, and does not represent the true desires of the group. (to wit: Gunship Guy's refusal to even fill one out. Sorry If I got the wrong guy here, but somebody said he wouldn't even bother to fill it out.) People with passionate views one way or the other filled out the survey which skews the true group mentality. It should have been done with Gallup or Wilson or somebody that knows how to do a true scientific poll. That is why I couldn't care less if the survey resluts are ever released. They are meaningless.

And that rambling regurgitation has what to do with this thread??

OBTW, that might be your opinion.

My opinion is that if your wants don't meet the collective wants, then you claim survey results are meaningless. For instance, thousands of pits are contacted and the median day one raise desired is 15%.

You are different though and only want 5% for what ever reason. You automatically jump to the survey is meaningless.

Back on topic.

Anyone been contacted????

I reread your post. You are talking about a poll, and I am talking about the survey. A poll is scientific, and the survey is meaningless.

And I still didn't whizz in your Wheaties.

As I said in another thread, I'm not surprised they would poll. Political campaigns poll constantly to see how their message is being received and how they need to focus/refocus their message.

If the MEC is polling, it would tell me they may not feel what they are currently doing is working and they need to regroup.

You are correct. I didn't fill out a survey because I was planning to retire this fall and didn't want to add bogus data to a contract I wasn't going to live under. Opps........

Exactly. That would be tantamount to looking for the white flag.

Nope. But I am astute enough to know that an open survey is only going to be answered by those that choose to do so. I think that has been proven in this very forum. Do you think this place is really representative of the average line pilot? Seriously? A scientific poll done under controlled circumstance is far more valuable. I know you don't agree.
