One side is mistaken

I respectfully disagree..The JV scope is a win as we upguage to 242Ton 330's vs 7ER's across the Atlantic and won't pay a penalty for increasing EASK's on our side of the JV...BH protects us if a global SARS event draws down JV 380's which we can replace with 2 75-300's across the pond. I'm only looking at a worst case scenario..which we lived thru after 9/11. I think this TA locks in compensation and scope at the upper WB level and further recaptures mainline flying at the NB level.
It's just my opinion, and after reading the TA and hearing the very loud "no" vote arguments on this site..I'm voting yes.

They could probably get a great deal on E-175s if they order some new E-190s. So as airplanes roll out of San Jose Dos Campos you could, given where we are today, have 1 for us and 1 for them, 1 for us and 1 for them and repeat till you hit 55 each.
Smart of Delta to have held off on the remaining 30 76-seaters and wait until they got a good deal from Embraer (E175 and E190) and Bombardier (CR9 + CSeries).
The E190s were already on our side of the fence. No need to fight for them, if Delta wanted them they could order them.
Better yet, so in order for Delta, which is headed to a PTIX of $6B, to order 20 E190s we have to give up 25 CR9s? The deal with C2012 was they said no 717s unless we allow more CR9s, but somehow we're supposed to believe with these profits they can't order more E190s without ordering CR9s? We've lost our collective minds if we think that's the case.
But speaking of health care, did you also notice the health care Cadillac tax issue?
I voted no.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but they can already aquire 25 76-seaters under C2012. This TA locks them into a hard cap reduction in total DCI hulls, reduction in 50 -seaters and finally getting "large" E-190's in mainline colors at $200/hr in the left seat. To me, that's the hard deck.
This TA is gonna do what we've been squawking about for years..recapturing more DCI flying to mainline..opening the door for more CS-300's and E-190E2's at mainline. Delta pilots flying more Delta pax. More DCI pilots hired at Delta to fly Delta pax. So what if we have to verify an illness after 15 lost work days..if you're sick, you're sick.
I'm #11 in my category..I've very rarely enjoyed the LCA gravy train..if it hasn't happened by now..it ain't gonna happen.
Sorry to disappoint..but I sincerely think this TA, delivered 6 months early, with 73 captains making $250/hr on 1/1/16, scope and work rules improvements deserves your consideration.
Vote your conscience..
Respectfully, CG

GC,
Your logic is very flawed and you are wrong, very wrong. Voting yes is a tremendous goose egg to us and our fellow pilots. This a huge loss to all from #1 to 12XXX! So it has a pay raise...but not much, while our management see fit to raise their pay by almost double. Stock buy back and dividend increase...really and then they low ball us! Where the hell is your head?
The 50 seaters, just like in C12 were already gone...gone gone gone gone gone! Add more 76s..no. Bring 190 to mainline...sure but at what cost? They are replacement aircraft, so make them the same hour cost as a 717 or 88 and I'll be more willing but I didn't come to DAL to fly RJs.
11 in your category...who cares! the LCA issue hurts everyone from #1 down, mostly folks lower in category. Youre not understanding the ramifications for your dumb choice to vote yes!
The sick leave is BS. I'm in my 40s, very fit...I still fly in the AF...do I need a verification if I wakeup in the AM and can't fly...no! If I have the S##ts or cant move my neck or just had a bad night sleeping so be it, I shouldn't have to run to the doc for a special note, then have it reviewed by some pin head company hired doc, that's why I go every 6 months to an AME!
The JV issue is out of control! The company has been non compliant and wants us to fix their problem...no! Yes we have lost jobs, flying, $$$$ and this doesn't fix anything, it makes it worse for us. So they throw some money at it...but really, does that fix it. No. Maybe I could have been on the ER much sooner then I was?...maybe that would have helped my QOL? maybe WE...DAL...could have been flying to more destinations? The answer is YES!...So ya Im willing to help the company fix their blatant disregard to the contact...NOT! Bring our flying back!, that's how I'll help! vs some foreign outfit.
This TA is an abortion and an insult and absolutely 100% disrespectful to us as a pilot group. You sir and our leadership need to grow some balls vs kowtow to management.

Yes. They'll grow the profitable side of DCI at our expense.
And I know you're going to bring up the reduction in 50 seat jets and say DCI shrunk, win, but put it this way- the 88 is openly being talked about as needing to be replaced. Old engines. Maintenance. You know.
If I said if you let me reduce the 88 fleet by 70% then I'll let you increase the size of the 767-300ER fleet by 350%, would you call that growth or a reduction?
Mind you, the difference between an 88 and a 763 is the same as the CR9 to the CR2.
See above + ratios were designed for status quo on the mainline fleet while DCI got rid of the unwanted jets and unwanted capacity they needed and unnecessary drag on the operation. They did it gleefully and said so in the investor call ins. Once you listened to those you could plainly see that the company never debated between keeping CR2s or acquiring 717s. Just us.

The tighter they pull that noose the more mainline to DCI they must maintain. Of course they are above the floor - if not we would have filed a grievance like we did on the TATL JV. There is some room to pull down, but they can't replace us with DCI like they did when CG was furloughed.
The replacement jets at mainline is a wash of an argument because they can do that now if they want to. In fact they are with the 757 down to the 737-900. Nothing in our current or proposed contract prevents them from downsizing if they decide to. What the ratios do is force them to keep it on our list.

“The wide-body A330-900neo, an enhancement of Airbus' successful A330 family featuring greater aerodynamic and economic efficiency, will be deployed on medium-haul trans-Atlantic markets as well as select routes connecting the U.S. West Coast and Asia. The aircraft are scheduled to enter the Delta fleet in 2019 and will deliver a 20 percent operating cost savings per seat over the Boeing 767-300ER aircraft it will replace.” Delta adds A350-900, A330-900neo to its fleet plan | Delta News Hub
The first 242T 330 is beginning its ETOPS proving runs later today.

The 242T is here now to replace the 744. Like 6 744s gone by the end of the year 2015.
