Lol, copy, not a stooge in the eyes of DH at least.
The meeting I made it to was the SLC LEC meeting in early June. It was held not long after the TA was put out, so I'll acknowledge there were more likely to be guys wanting to vent than a standard LEC meeting. We can still be grown ups when we disagree with each other or come across issues that we don't like.

I flew with an ex-rep who said he got out because the meetings, both public and closed session, were so nasty. He dreaded going to the meetings so he......stopped going to meetings.
One of the reasons I stopped coming to this place, is we say we're for open dialog but we're not. If you don't agree with the echo chamber your some sort of ___________ (fill in the blank)

(Not sure if that was rhetorical or not)

Downside of social media I guess. Going into the vote on C15 a SWA guy asked me how I thought it was going. I said I couldn't tell if it was Arab Spring or just Occupy Wall Street.
Happy people don't post and only an idiot responds on social media, just say'en.
Ferd
PS. I guess that makes me an idiot

I guess whether its the 4th floor, or cpo or alpa, there are just some people who want to escape the line as quickly and as often as possible.
And some people even do all 3.
Speaking of which, those freezing cold 717s from airTran even in the summer... yeah evidently that got fixed... how's that ac on the bus?

Like Ferd pointed out ....there are those who seem to gravitate to the office/training/union gig. There are some guys that have been doing one or more of these almost continuously since I was a new hire. I'm glad there are guys out there that want to do those things because I don't want to do it (been there and just want to be a crew dawg). The problem (speaking from personal experience) is that when you do it too long, you tend to lose touch and perspective with the line. There are some good non line people doing good work out there..but I think our union leadership has lost touch.

I did. But I abused the swivel chair privileges(I was always dizzy), so I had to come back to flying.
