It's just a WAG on my part. My guess on the C Series is from all the articles and speculations on the board. DAL needs to get out of the E190 contract with Boeing and I guess the only way to do that is to buy some other aircraft to appease them.
Just a line guy making a guess; C Series and 737s soon after the board meeting.

Sure sounds like the deal we were only going to get if we signed for the TA....only more airplanes in this one!

Sounds like the Canadair side is leaking to the press. That has burned manufacturers before. I wouldn't be surprised if the 88 upgrades go far enough to add life and we get used XXXs. DC9 was supposed to retire in the 90s.
Just sayin' ...Delta is buying aircraft for several carriers now.

The Cseries is about 108(CS100) to 160 seats on the proposed CS500 in dual class. I don't see Delta buying any CS100's, my guess would be 75 CS300's with options for 50 CS500 when they become available, and some 737s. That would replace the MD's. From last time I was in Montreal, the C-Series looked to be about the easiest airplane to fly ever.
