It is eyewatering how the value and justification of union 'work' flows with the tide of power.
News flash. Alpa is a corrupt organization. Larceny is embedded in the DNA.
The line pilot problem with it is when that valuable union 'work' includes selling us down the river, and then calling us fkg stupid for raising the BS flag.
That, is just a bit too much to stomach.

I can't wait to see the second quarter FPL report to see which reps were paid to picket on the 24th and how much they cashed in on. Speaking of FPL, I noticed on the latest report that Capt xxx bagged 112.68 hours of FPL in January alone, and that wasn't even for a full month of ALPA work.

Now before, I didn't like spending my money on the Moakists. Now I'm happy with how my money is spent.

While line pilots are expected to bid around picketting events and do it on their own time, our MEC reps are being offered up to 10:30 of full pay to picket on the 24th. Why can't our reps just ALPA block those days instead of getting paid up to 10:30 for an hour of picketting? Call your reps and ask them if they will be on FPL (and expenses) to picket on the 24th.

FPL and Regional Director of flying seem to have a connection.... Why do the guys who don't fly the pointy end always end up with 200% bonuses??? Me, out there every weekend sweating in the oldies hoping to fund my $hitty ??% raise with the loss of sick time and PS....

Pretty sure the reps were already being paid (by the company) to attend the MEC meeting, so no extra pay was received by the LEC reps. Other committee guys? They are paid by dues mostly (some are company paid I think). But, those guys were in town for the meeting, too. So, they weren't paid any "extra" to picket.
But, that's no fun is it? False accusations are so much more exciting.
