Default TA a few days after picketing

I think we all know, or ought to know, what's on the way.

We are exhorted to picket to "support the NC." Meanwhile, the NC gets bent over at the table (after all, they were elected by the MD11), and our chairman closes out a deal with his buddy, Sleepy Ed.

A few days later, we are presented with an insult of a TA...spun as a "victory," which would "not have been possible" without our "unity" by picketing.

Oh, I'll be there on the 24th. But it's a complete sham. The fix is in. Our only hope is that the reps follow though on their promises and send the impending POS back. Put the pressure on your reps early and often.

The TA will suck. It's a given. Scope, sick, 13 hour days/inadequate rest facilities, unsat pay/insurance/retirement. The only thing we can do is hold our reps accountable.

Are you hearing specifics about a TA that is heading our way? Or are you basing this statement on what we have all experienced time after time with TAs brought forth from DALPA? I completely understand your pessimism if it is the ladder---- I'm waiting for DALPA to prove my skepticism wrong as well ( it would be the first time that happens...)

I'll be picketing on the 24th. I also agree that "the fix is in". Especially because of the MEC Special meeting on July 13-15. I bet the TA will be released after that...

Will we get two weeks to review it again before the vote? Or maybe just two days...

It will be time-critical. A 737 and EMB order will hinge on our swift acceptance.

I have to ask, what are you basing this "the sky is falling" mentality on? Please let us in on the great wealth of knowledge that is causing you to be in such a woefully bad mood about the contract talks.
