Sorry for setting bar so low, but sent this-
Sir,
The removal of voluntary verification of sick leave is unacceptable. Put that back in and I think I can live with the rest of it.
And received back-
I have now read hundreds of emails that say the same thing that you do. I am fighting that fight.

You are such a douche. Why can't you just answer and help everyone get more info? Nvm, I don't care about your responses. I used to enjoy, consider, and appreciate your viewpoint. In all honesty I now consider you to be a child with a computer who only wants a raise. We get it. If I had the ability to mute you i would. Looking forward to all your lame responses to every chat in this forum....

If I posted what we talked about on here it would possibly divulge some things spoken in confidence. Besides, the anti-everything angry crowd would shout it down anyway, so why bother.
Oh, and mods.....

My understanding: Lets say you average 120 hours sick leave a year and always verify when required at over 100 hours. You'd be verifying about 1 4 day trip per year under the current system. With a rolling look back, it is hypothetically possible that with the exact same amount of sick leave taken, you would have to verify EVERY sick=out for the remainder of your career, depending on timing. The 12 month look back is the most insidious and cumbersome of all the BS the company put into their proposal. This absolutely cannot stand and unless they give me a 100% raise, I am definitely a NO vote if that provision is not eliminated.
Here it is cut and pasted so everybody can see the source document:
Under the new agreement, the trigger for required verification changed from exceeding 100 hours of unverified sick leave in a sick leave year to calling in sick after having exceeded 100 hours of sick leave in the preceding 12 bid periods. So long as he has not used more than 100 hours of sick leave in the preceding 12 bid periods, a pilot who calls in sick will not be subject to the verification requirement in that bid period, regardless of the amount of sick leave he uses before calling well.
EDIT: if I interpret your email differently, and instead say "100 hours of unverified sick leave in the preceding 12 bid periods" with the ability to voluntarily verify at any time, then I'd be OK with something less than a 100% raise.
EDIT 2: FYI, hopefully no dog in this fight. I've been pretty healthy my entire life and have used well below the threshold to never verify in my 2 years here. That said, I feel like I've got an excellent moral compass and this just feels dirty.
