Default JV Scope.

I have seen numerous 'accusations' as to dALPA not enforcing scope provisions. OK Here is a thread where those that believe it (or those that don't) have the opportunity to put up or shut up. Prove your case with some examples as to what the company has done to violate the contract, and also show where dALPA has done nothing (or something) to complain about it. Also what, if anything we have received in compensatory damages from the grievance process.

This has potential to be good.

On Feb. 23, 2014, DALpilotDAL, on Chit Chat, reported that we were out of compliance with regard to the ratio of RJs and mainline aircraft. Someone might ask him where he got the info and what was the compliance issue.

I have no idea who that is. If he is here, I hope he would defend that position.

No need to defend, just tell us what the actual violation was. I'll take back identifying the source. That'll never happen.

Now that Mexico and the US essentially have Open Skies treaty, and we are buying or have bought 49% of AeroMexico, do we have any specific scope language as we do for VA and AF/KLM/AI? Do we have any for GOL?

Well I guess there are no problems since it has been 24 hours since I started this thread and not one citation. All those complaints must be hyperbole.

Come on guys let's see the evidence.

They were out of compliance, and still are, when it comes to the 'Production Balance' minimum, which is measured in EASK (equivalent available seat kilometers, and the company wants to change the measure to block hours).

There was a grievance filed, the company ended up 'compensating us' the $30 Million. DALPA decided that was enough money, oh, and that finding reset the 3 year look back clock so they can be out of compliance for another 3 years, so we got that going for us.

What did you spend all that money on?

That's what I pay union dues for. Unfortunately they sold us out.

What? The $30 million? The accusations leveled are that the union hasn't pursued grievances against the company's violations of the JV agreements. They did. We were compensated. Is dALPA now somehow supposed to be able to mind meld and control the awards in a grievance? How are they supposed to do THAT? The amount levied is irrelevant anyway and guys still are saying that dALPA is ignoring the company's transgressions. I am still waiting for a citation as to what those transgressions are rather than hyperbole.
