DAL Contract Survey
Since there is so much discussion over where we want to go, and we haven't gotten an ALPA contract survey yet, I thought it might be interesting to see where a straw poll of opinions is on this. Too many options to go into all the permutations, just a few brackets based on crew room and line discussions. Not touching work rules and Scope, but assuming there would be no degradation, only improvements there as well.

This can't have any semblance of validity no matter what. Too many variables that go beyond this. What if you have a 6hr min day like FDX(which is a 12.5% increase over the 5:15, but only effective some of the time, call it 7% real increase), then you tack on a full 6hrs for every training event (2.5% yearly increase to income), 6hs/day for each week of vacation (an average yearly income increase of approx. 4.2%), an extra week of vacation per pilot (average yearly income increase of 4.5%), a 75 min. guar. (an increase of approx. 5%). Up the DC to 18% (increase of 4%).
This adds up to an average increase of 27% PER PILOT without any rate increases or any other types of workrule enhancements.
Payrates are notoriously deceiving is all I'm saying.
(This in no way defines my personal "minumums", just point out all the other ways to increase income without payrates alone.)

Having better work rules may end up with higher payrates than just a rate increase. Loads of stories about rules from the past that ended up with getting paid more for working less, and what pilot doesn't love that?

It amazes me that guys are actually satisfied with anything less than 40%!
Do you guys realize that over the life of our current contract we are receiving a 23% pay increase and you would be happy with just 30%-and that was with $140.00 dollar oil!! Are you out of your minds? Please tell me that your just not very good at math!!

Scope.
Scope.

I want to be able to bid CRJ Captain if I want.
And a snap back to 2003 rates with a CoL adjustment.
Switch to the fNWA APA system for permanent bids
Bidding for long call/RAP periods
Another couple gold florins in the retirement.
All training/checking done in a motion device done by seniority list instructors
And hot chocolate. We had hot chocolate at the commuter, so I think it'd be good here. With marshmellows.
