I totally understand the desire to seek the best QOL but for it to go that JR is very surprising.
I would 100% agree with that... 15 months here and got the ATL 88A. I live down in PTC, and been fly the Dog since I got hired. Previous Regional guy with tons of CA time and who has dealt with QOL that was so bad (commuting to NYC on reserve for regional), that living in base and upgrading on a plane that I've been flying was such an easy decision.

Quick question while looking at the results. i noticed a 9/16 M88 got awarded a 7ER slot. I thought that you could only trade aircraft after the 1 year freeze unless you were awarded a new category (like the MSP one on this AE)? Everyone else looked like they had hit their 1 year mark before moving off the M88. Just checking to see if I understood the year freeze based on what everyone has been saying here.

Money can create its own QOL.

How important is having a weekend off? How "good" is it as a 2 year FO on the -88 or 717 vice the left seat of same? is reserve "that" bad? Is holding a line as an FO 80-100k better?

At FedEx, the bottom 20% flies the same kind of crap. Why not fly it for more money?

Good thing is guys have options. Lots of different options means lots of happy pilots...whatever their niche. Exciting times! I have some new hire friends at FDX going to the 777 out of training. Wonderful trends in the industry...hope it continues a long time...

I hope these new upgrades were regionals captains for a couple years, I know some have gone to DL from the right seat of RJ's after only a short stint.

As a friend of mine says, if you're going to be junior, why not make more money?

I like it.

I can have A LOT of guys below me on ATL88A. But I still can't touch the 330B in ATL or NYC, just DTW, at nearly 9 years on this bid. (I can on previous ones I believe)

And when I say a lot below, please understand, that's still being on PBS award page 58 of like 69 by that point. And I want to be on page 69. So forget everything I said.

dude. Delta Air Lines hires all applicants as Captains; I have zero doubt all new/existing upgrades to the left seat will be OUTSTANDING contributions to our team.

congratulations to our new captains well done!!

Hey ftb, instead of going to CA, may I interest you in a multi year stint in the training department as my internet friend and funny gif poster?

The 717 went relatively junior this bid also. Surprisingly the 320 went more senior than previous bids compared to the 737 which went more junior this bid. 73A went to 07 hires I believe (in NYC)
