Until DL saw SWA's TA rates and bested it, yes. SWA still has better rigs and medical benefits. I'm sure when AA comes up they'll top DL/UA. Only reason UAL is above SWA now is if the DL passes and their me too goes into effect.

No...no we did not. We made significant gains over that abortion of a TA from last year, but raise the bar? Nope.* We'll lead the industry on NB rates right up until...well...when does your vote close? Then we fall much farther behind until 2020 (and only Mr Gary Kelly knows how much further beyond that before we see another TA.) This in spite of holding a royal flush (the 737 Max & Section 1) going into the best negotiating environment most of us will ever see in our careers. As one of the 16%ers, I apologize for the 84% of my peers who, while now members of the Big 4 Airline Club, still apparently feel they don't deserve Big 4 Airline compensation, retirement, long-term disability bennies, and on and on....
Expect to see a LOT more fSWA pilots in your new-hire classes. I'm not sure how we will continue to fill ours in the not-so-distant future!
* The ONLY part of our TA that could be construed as industry-leading, was retro pay. Even I consider it "Full" retro back to 2012, and we will also receive retro pay for lost 401k match and Profit Sharing for that time. In addition, this retro is paid out to anyone who "turned a wheel" as a SWA (or fATN) pilot from 2012 to present....whether they are still here or not. Yes, this applies to retired, terminated, resigned, deceased, or Mil-leave pilots. I think that may be unprecedented for the industry. So we got that one going for us....

Delta's offer (16.5%) was already higher than SWA's TA.
