Default Delta Widebody count

Per the Crew Resources monthly update from Jan 2016 to Jan 2017 Delta will be down 4 wide body aircraft during this time.

Does anyone know the WB count as of Jan 2015? Wondering what the trend line on this is? Also does anyone know how many deliveries are scheduled for 2017?

8 less Atlantic crossing required per day due to the PWA. 4 sounds about right.

Shouldn't be a problem with the big 350 AE that opened in the fall like so many were absolutely sure would happen...oops. Now it's Feb/Mar? Wouldn't be surprised if Feb/Mar becomes Sep/Oct.

Airbus is currently 11 airframes behind on deliveries of the A350.

Accept for the fact they are increasing and upguaging the Atlantic flying and your 8 number is false.

You are reading it incorrectly. We are down 6 airframes in the 7ER category. Those 6 airframes are 757's. We had a net gain of two widebodies over the time frame in question. Next year we get 2 A330 and 5 A350's.
The reduction in 757's was planned to be larger but reduced recently.

Well, surprisingly, you're wrong (or is it "your wrong"?). But keep up the good work providing all that accurate information for the pilots.

Please post where I am wrong. It would give your post much more credibility.

Do you know the 747 retirement schedule? I seem to remember the entire fleet parked by end of 2017?

That is my understanding assuming Airbus delivers the A350's close to on time. Looks like they have been extended two months for the current delay.
