Here is the big issue:
Perhaps more interesting at this first analysis is the decline in fuel efficiency gain when shorter ranges are flown. We have a decline of 20%-30% from 4,000nm to 1,000nm. We can thereby conclude that Kiran Rao, Airbus EVP of Strategy and Marketing, meant something else with the quote “for 2-3 hour missions, the A330ceos are still more efficient than a neo,” (from this discussion with Aviation Week).

They don't even know. And accurate is not the word I'd use. 757s seems to disappear and reappear every 6 months. 737 orders are cancelled, then they're not. E190s are the future NB replacement then, oops. The C-series still needs another real order to be viable. 787s still on the books. Used 777s abound for cheap, what ever happened to that one?
The C series is in production and in service. I suspect we will get them. If not another airframe will be purchased but the basic fleet plan will stay the same.
Go back and look at the predicted fleet numbers when contract 2012 was signed. Spot on other then additional 757's.

You seem to be confusing forum rumors with company documents. Overall the companies fleetplan has tracked as they have put out at roadshows. Some equipment has changed but the plan itself has gone almost exactly as forecast other then retaining more 757's which is a good thing.

Yeah, but imagine how many non-revs we can move to the back of the plane with that baby! It would be a dream come true for ACS.

It's actually going to fly soon. That does not mean going into full scale production. Again however I simply mentioned there was discussion about alternatives if Airbus elects not to go forward. It's sales have been a disaster after the initial flurry of orders. Most seem to be opting for the A350. There has however been a general glut in widebody orders. Unless your mission is for flights over 3000 miles there is not much point in ordering it over the CEO 330.
