The egregious actions of C44 FO reps
#4
Egregious derives from the Latin word egregius, meaning "distinguished" or "eminent." In its earliest English uses, egregious was a compliment to someone who had a remarkably good quality that placed him or her eminently above others. That's how English philosopher and theorist Thomas Hobbes used it in flattering a colleague when he remarked, "I am not so egregious a mathematician as you are." Since Hobbes' day, however, the meaning of the word has become noticeably less complimentary, possibly as a result of ironic use of its original sense.

The Flower Fund got low!
Seriously, this is one of the high crimes and misdemeanors accusations being circulated.
The email chain actually says it got to $0. It didn't. I'm told it dipped below $2000 temporarily (while in the heat of negotiations, by the way).
C44 is being rolled. So will the rest of us.

Most I have talked with are upset they went against the memberships wishes in joining the group of 12 trying to delay or block a contract and the tactic used. Under overwhelming pressure from the membership they reversed that position however again even with overwhelming member support opposed the agreement reached. One did vote for it again with a landslide of member support forcing the issue. The other rep voted no against his own membership.
The vote for the chairman again went against the membership and ran afoul of the integrity many expect of their reps.
