Basically if you don't wear your hat it's not considered professional by a lot of people.

If you want to defend yourself you have the right to do so. But out in the real world image is important. And if you don't care it's ok too. But have some respect for individuals who do.

Setting aside for a moment the fact that you can get great responses from the gate agents and rampers even if not wearing a hat simply by being friendly and treating them like actual people instead of mere cogs in a wheel, I'm curious what basis you have for the statement that a lot of people find it unprofessional if their pilots aren't wearing hats.

If you look at his post history and his sad attempt at earning the new hire recommendation bonus, I think his meaning will become clear. As well as his claim of first year FO pay here...

I'm glad you pointed that out. It's got me confused though, is first year pay $63k, $83k, or $93k? Maybe PED can clarify that for us. Hats all around! Gotta get those ladies!
