You do go home, but don't plan on doing much besides working on the computer (ipad) based training modules. While not difficult, the modules are time consuming. Your progress is closely tracked by the company. If you procrastinate, you will hear about it.

It's a serious investment of time to get them done before the weekend.

I advise that you do go home in order to avoid going stir-crazy, but don't make plans while home. Knock out the training, then if you are finished before the weekend, you can chill out a bit and just study for the exam.

Just my take, having just been thru it.

I just read it again, flying back on Sunday for class Monday. I wonder why we have different schedules.

I would have to imagine it depends on when the flight arrives into MSP on Monday from where you're coming from

My schedule was revised, so this post is actually correct. Looks like we get Thanksgiving day off but have to be back in class the next morning. Only one day off so no positive space home I guess. We also lose the following Saturday because of it.

Wow, that blows... Guess it's time to find a bar that will be open and enjoy some football and get back to the books Friday morning... Won't be the last time on the road for a holiday.

Are all sims completed continuously or are there blocks of downtime in between sims?

There are blocks of downtime ranging from 1 to 7 days or more. A typical* schedule might be in the 4 on 3 off range but it varies widely.
