Interestingly enough, I had an opportunity to talk to him about that. Basically, as VP of all Delta Connection carriers, he’s in a difficult position vis-a-vis announcements like that. While it’d make us happy, it comes at a cost for the company on the losing end. I think he’s just trying to be cognizant of that, even if it makes us feel a bit ignored sometimes.

That said, all the info I’ve gathered recently points to good things. The mechanics out west even tell me the first 2 jets are on property. I think we’re good, guys, for whatever that’s worth to you.

I, too, met him in a crew room and watched as he danced around the consolidation response. Say what you want about our leadership, but having a seat at the table with mainline, planning our future and weighing the difficult decisions ahead for DC...I'd choose a seat on our ship on our ship over the other carriers any day.

DG seemed like a tremendous guy, very empathetic and measured. Side note, I have seen an uptick in messages from him recently...not sure if that's an anomaly, but I like the direction we're heading.

I share your optimism and hope that’s the case. But then again guys at Comair were saying the same thing years ago.

Seems like a conflict of interest there, but whatever.

No conflict of interest. DG protects DL, his employer. Not 9E, we are just cannon fodder.

I noticed 656CA ferried RDU-JAX on the same day as the other 2 birds did to SUX, does anyone know if this is another in conformity or does G7 use JAX for heavy checks?

That’s their own heavy check. Not a transfer aircraft. You can do a history search and see arrivals and departures from there

While it's true he has numerous obligations, he seemed to genuinely care about our future. All regionals are expendable, don't be fooled, but I really didn't get a negative vibe from him. I'm sure someone who's been through the wars could find a way to, though... no offense, but some of you guys can and purposefully do find negatives in any situation.
