Not sure if this is accurate or not, feel free to chime in if you are or know someone who is eligible prior, but I've heard there were Oct 2016 upgrades that were some of the first to qualify under DGI. If that is accurate, then we are about 9 months away, minus the E2D few.

That being said, it is my opinion that if any E2D guys don't upgrade, they should simply be bypassed. Seems unfair to hold up those who are trying their best to succeed in going to DL and meet the requirements.

I completely agree, when I asked the union about this issue they said they were working on a solution, because it's correct that the dgi cannot start up until they go or get the no.

The DGI is non-contractual so they can do whatever they want with it, including just saying "sorry we changed our minds". Don't hold your breath. Thankfully we are the highest hourly paid regional for the time being, and we're adding aircraft. Don't hold your breath for the DGI, however.
E2D , two years as captain.

ALPA can't touch DGI because it's between DL, EDV, and us pilots. It's non contractual. One of their lawyers told me I have to talk to a CP or such because they can't get involved at all.

You think a couple EtD pilots will
Derail Endeavor? If the interview guarantees from Delta
Won’t happen because of it you’re dreaming. Our pilot hiring will drop by 50% if that’s the case. No way!

I have no idea where you came up with your reply to my post. Can you elaborate please?

I didn't say alpa was looking for a solution to the dgi. They were looking for a solution to the etd guys holding up the dgi

Default SSP?

Many thanks to all - great info & perspective.

Can anyone throw an aspiring FNG a bone on what SSP is & provide other relevant background on SSP?
