The most junior, non-alternate new Captain according to the new vacancy (pre-withdrawal period) is a 22 August 2016 hire. The most junior alternate is a 3 Oct 2016 hire.
There are only 15 new Captains (FO to CA) created with this new vacancy.
As a guess based on hire date and who might have 1000 hours 121/company time, there are probably around 320-ish FOs qualified to upgrade at this point. Around 200-ish are junior to the most junior new Captain.

I can agree with that, as long as it’s not a reduction overall. I’m not so sure that with ATL shrinking the 200, growing the ATL 900 while shrinking the NYC 900, is actual growth - old Delta smoke and mirror for a RIF while OO booms yet again. Still 9E is the place to be - I just don’t want our market share shrinking.
