Meanwhile ATL CPJ 200 CA had a huge credit push all summer and into September. I know, I had to suffer it as a jr line holder. ****ty 4 day trips with lots of sits worth 16 hours of credit. Uncommutable too so lose a half day on the front side of the trip. Feels like their staffing reserves from nyc and giving the leftover flying to Atlanta.
I don’t think that adds up to ATL getting leftovers.

Have another read
Of “Foundations of flight” and “Our guiding principles”! I guess they’re just for show.
I was excited when I joined. I was staying excited with each passing month waiting for the announcements. I’m not excited anymore.
I realize now, more than ever, that it’s just another DL regional being treated as they’ve always treated their regionals and the whipsawing will in fact never stop. Yes, I am POed now. Everything from training delays, time on reserve, poor lines and constantly having to wait for goddam crew scheduling to answer the phone. AND that truthful DGI, you know announced right before they announced they’re going to slow down or stop recruiting for awhile.
What is happening to EDV?

left overs meaning flying in and out of the other bases a lot with single legs flown and a deadhead around for other legs. there is a lot of flying out, sitting for a few hours for the next consecutive flight, (cho, ilm) and lots of deadheads in the middle of the day. i have a day trip towards the end of this month that is fly one leg and deadhead back pretty much every day.

Yep, there is something more you can do; In my case I just decided to apply to Alaska. I was optimistically waiting to see what happens with the DGI but with this kick in the crotch I'm reminded that I'm only viewed as an outside contractor for the Delta team, and not even worthy of sitting with a Delta pilot in Comfort Plus.

IMO while it sucks big time, who cares, it’s an upgrade on a seat we didn’t pay for that we are getting paid to sit in. A few lost inches of leg room and no snack basket that we can easily just raid while we are working. Not like we can get a beer free too. I’m 6’2, and while it sucks sitting in the back, I’ll do it if I have to. I’ll also talk to the Union instead of whining here to get it back. Not saying we should bend over but this shouldn’t be our biggest concern.

I would just call that horrendously inefficient scheduling. I honestly have no idea what they’re doing. All I know is that reserve lines are 150% of hard lines in NYC and that makes absolutely no sense.

I will never move to NYC, and commuting to sit in a crummy Kew Gardens crashpad isn't fun.
