It seems (without any other information forthcoming) that the consolidation strategy du jour (of Delta, at least)is “let the contracts run out and move the planes”
AA seems ready to play this game, but UAL seems to be suddenly waking up to the possibility of increasing its ownership stake in its regionals.

I don’t think anyone is planning on buying TSH at this point. (Mesa?) I seems like the majors have collectively decided to call HK’s bluff and just let the contracts run out.
I think that UAL is trying to decide on how to deal with the implications of this move. They are the only ones without a partner or WO that could absorb the airframes from a failed TSH.

Incorrect. As of 10am this morning, still a Fall announcement. Still the same hiring plan. Still fleet growth in 2019.
