The RLA should have been ALPA's target decades ago as an antiquated set of laws that had little use in the era of deregulation. But the Major/Regional model serve the Majors well as the regionals subsidize the majors' pay. There is no way that ALPA can truly represent a Major and any of that Major's Regionals. It's in total conflict of interest.

I believe without ALPA we would be much worse off as regional pilots. No contract to keep the company in check. All the regionals would pay the same as to not rock the boat. Just a place to build time. Certainly not a career if need be

The RLA isnt going anywhere, youve gotta operate inside of it, and so does the company. Your prospective is so jacked you can't see the truth. You took the job when it paid little (although more than most other regional jobs back in those days). Thats the only reason regionals are around. If management talked the pilots into the scope relief, and no one showed up to fly the jets/tprops that would be the end of this nonsense. But you showed up so did everyone here. That isn't the RLA or ALPAs fault.
You took a bet, it didn't pay off. Shucks and you only make 6 figures for your trouble. Better quit and get to doing something else if you can't be happy now it's never gonna happen.
The above goes double for you.
Alpa isnt you guys problem you

Wow. Let me guess, you've been here long enough someone has told you, "if you're so smart go volunteer". You did a little, maybe you wanted something bigger to do to change things maybe you didnt, but at some point you brought this stupidity into a conversation with someone smarter than you and they told you that isn't how things work. So you repeat it on here, probably even quit volunteering.
